Yes the pair of new bus stops are up, not sure what's the name of the road but likely adopting the name Yishun St 61 too.
The likely new bus stop at opp. Blk 651 should be for a service?
i gotta feeling tat SMRT is either improving bus svc ard yishun or launch new sec. May be 812 adment.
Currenlty the stops opp blk 651 serves 1N/NR1
Should be to allow SMRTB to run a bus service serving the new hospital?
(After some consideration, I think I may want to come back posting here. I will only stick to posting inside information that I happen to come across, as well as the occasional bus photo and bus reviews. Threads discussing other topics (like the recent AMK bus depot fire), I will stay out of.)
I'm glad someone posted a thread about the two new bus stops along Yishun Central 2. According to a notice posted at the Yishun Bus Interchange notice board (near the toilets), the new pair of bus stops are for an amended route 858, which will also be extended to cover Sembawang proper (restoring a once-dropped plan years ago to extend the route to cover Sembawang). The notice is to call for bus drivers to familiarise themselves with the new route, and was dated 8th of March, with the dates for the familiarisation set on the 14th and 15th if I remember correctly. According to a bus driver I spoke to, the route change will come into effect at the end of this month.
As for the upgraded pair of bus stops along Yishun Central, I'm not sure as I have no information for any new or amended bus routes going there. Likely it might be for an extended route 812 (unlikely in my opinion though) or an amended trunk route, or may be even for a new bus route.

858 is staffed by both amdep and wldep drivers.

858 is only controlled by WLDEP for now. But Yishun INT has WLDEP-controlled services like 171, 852, 856, 857 and 859, despite the drivers being under SMG-2, the AMDEP Route Group.
Wow tis is definitely great news to hear man..I can see now tat SMRT r starting to improve their bus svcs slowly agn.Great great.I wldnt b surprised if there wld even b a new svc being introed soon.At least slowly and steadily improving their svcs is still way much much better than not doing anyting at all..

Haha.... Wah ... Like this Woodlands people don't like 858 liao.

858 extended into Sembawang district via Sembawang Way & Canberra, and diverted away from Yishun Ave 2 between Yishun Central 1 & Yishun Central via Yishun Central 2. fare stage increased from the current 85 stages at the end to 89 stages.

Hope that 858 can get AM partial control of it to put in few more buses and cut short the waiting time.
i love SV858 extension. but hope overall runtime wont be lengthen much so that it can really chiong to CGA =D

So 858 will not turn right at Ave 7 into Gambas and instead continue past Flextronics into Sembawang Way and Canberra Link, stopping at Sembawang MRT and Block 589? 5 minute walk seems okay for me.
Not going in to Yishun Ave 2?
Info for sv 858 ammendament is pasted at BBT interchange service centre outside

858 doesn't turn into Gambas Ave from Woodlands Ave 7. It turns into Gambas from Woodlands Ave 9 (i.e. when it leaves WRI it takes Woodlands Ave 7, Ave 4, Ave 9 and then Gambas). Rather, it will now turn into Ave 7 from Gambas.
It's new route leaving WRI now will be:
WRI, Ave 7, Ave 4, Ave 9, Gambas Ave, Ave 7, Sembawang Way, SBW MRT, Canberra Rd, Sembawang Rd and then continue on as normal.
This also means that there are new bus stops along Sembawang Way, between Admiralty Dr/SBW Cres and Sembawang Drive
