7440 9619 9888.
Sad Case. 6 double deckers gone at the same time.
I dont think the buses will be saved after all.
Its more cost effective to scrap them. The engine parts are most likely burnt also in the fire. Even if you manage to save it, I think the engine parts would break down more often.
Haix.. if its SMRT AMDEP, I wonder what will happen the next day. They do not even have 6 spare bendies for each depot.

how to save. the upper deck body burn until liddat. 9888 one totally gone lol.

Sekali because of SBS9489R again that caused the fire. Who knows.

Its worst than the fire that gutted the SDs in AMDEP.

Maybe SMRT ppl spot the fire?

The fire seems big. Extreme heat has caused some parts of the bus to simply vanish into the sky.

VSO is 9888Y.
Originally posted by lemon1974:yes..looking at the pictures, these are sv 25 buses... at the exit area of AMDEP.. which Sv 25 buses park... luckily it happen there..... if it happen somewhere else, i foresee more buses gone...
fixed it or not, most likely depend on whether engine damage or not? the bodywork can be easily rebuilt, but if engine damage.... then think difficult...
If all gutted DDs were from svc. 25, then svc. 168 DDs may get affected to be redeployed.

why must be 168? cannot be other services like 70, 133, 72?

cos 168 no power. have to bow udner the lordship of 21 25 70 72.
9489 sure enter 25 first thing.
Wonder if SBST will lelong the burnt parts?
Bus Fans may want to buy some of them.
Especially the B9TL front. Imagine the part becomes part of your front bed decorations. Nice!

siao. i den dun wan chao tah partz
Think most likely the spare LO3x from BRBP/AMDEP might take over the duties of the ill-fated buses at least for the time being.

AM only. they might have to despatch singledeck to certain ADD blocks.

I agree.I don't know much about chassis building, but if the engine, wheel suspensions/axles are not affected at all, then remodeling of the chassis would not be impossible. Remembered how the new K230UBs were delievered initially in form of customisable chassis. SBST can saw off the affected parts of the chassis, rebuild a new one, and rebuild the body. Sounds rather complex, so it is up to SBST whether they want to foo the bill. Anyway, the B9TL is still in production in Volvo and thus finding spare parts shouldn't be a problem. And the B9TL is only 2 years old.
However for the older buses, I think most likely they will be scrapped, especially those nearing their lifespan. As for those with their engines intact: there are 2 possiblities, 1. Scrapped, and their engines are used as spares, 2 rebuilding of bus body which will have a very long laid up status.
Could be longer than TIB1105H.

Feel that most redeployment came from perm 161/168 DDs from the past.
now AMDEP use DD to block off that exit area.. 9210/9171 was parked in weird manner to block the view from outside. They even paste newpaper on the glass of 9210 to prevent others from peeking inside. 9190 was also parked at the inspection center area to prevent other from looking at the burnt buses.
now AMDEP buses used the inspection centre exit to exit AMDEP...
