Why take bus?Go green and fast by MRT.

in some connections, direct bus is much much faster than taking feeder bus - MRT - connecting bus during normal traffic condition.
MRT fast? The waiting time even during peak hrs is 3 mins for EWL these days, not to say TO immediately buzz of e rare final door closing siren though ppl have not alighted, not to say boarding.. Tat siren is being frequently sounded off these days Anyway the MRT is alrdy running at capacity exceeding it's intended ridership (have not even upgraded e 23 yr old system yet).
SMRT loves to create stampede is it?

I don't want to be like a packed sardines in a can. Pathetic. Rather enjoy the comfort in a bus.
take train from bugis eastbound is as good as running into a wall. same effect.

Punggol to Tampines by MRT is a bloody joke.
oh im sorry. if youre one of the people who wants to get off our buses and squeeze like sardines in the MRT, go ahead. Better for us.

Agreed. From Pungool to Tampines can take 34, direct route.
But taking MRT need to take from Pungool from City Hall, then x-fer Eastbound train to Tampines, take a very long time and need more money too.

Agreed.Yest while i was on 23,the whole exit to Bendemeer tat runs parallel along PIE jammed up.I was stuck there for close to half an hour. Then wen the bus finally turned out of the exit, the whole place looked different to me.Cuz the roads all had changed a lot and there was a traffic light put at the exit jamming up all the vehicles coming from the exit.
At first i was totally blur as to where the bus was,cuz the direction all change so much be4 i realised it was still Bendemeer Rd.

I LIVE at the woodsville interchange area.
Nightmare trying to exit my small little Moonstone Lane just to enter the PIE/CTE.

just now when i was on 59 at abt 1 30 the jam was all the way from toa payoh exit to upp serangoon exit...
let's see tml's mess
SBS TI's spotted at S'goon Rd (St Michael Pl) bus stop tis afternoon. If the jam really affects Toa Payoh Lor 6 terribly, Sv 238's schedule going to kee siao
i passby that horrible place every weekday. with the new diversion , getting to city from hougang / serangoon is going to take a long time
no wonder today I saw 3 service 66 buses bunch up at bukit batok twrds JE, with 2714 off service with pax inside, follow by 8346 & 2704

Same for me too.... :(
Yesterday was on the bus at around 2pm
Was stuck in the jam for around 15-20mins (from the traffic light junction until Potong Pasir Ave 1 junction)
Can't imagine the situation during peak hours =X
For the exit to Upper Serangoon Rd from PIE (twds Changi Airport) have this problem during peak hours where the jam can snaked until Lor 6 Toa Payoh exit, sometimes it can be difficult for the vehicles coming out from Lor 6 Toa Payoh to filter right to PIE.
Another situation- some vehicles which want to exit to U. Sgn Rd, seeing the long jam/queue, they will keep to the left lane (meant for going to CTE) until reaching near the divider where they would cut into the queue which can be quite dangerous and worsen the problem.
Now I have to take the train from Tampines to Bugis.
23 now takes a significantly longer time to reach Bugis, around 50 mins.
A week ago 23 took 15 minutes just to exit the PIE into Bendemeer Rd.
