Hi,Just been surveying all SMRTB 3 depot yesterday night @ 2-3.45am makes me wonder does SMRT Buses intend to do more overnight parking at Interchange.Firstly go to KJ,Inside seem very little space for bus movement. There are about 7 buses park outside along the road and about 5 buses opp. Then rush to BBT to see how they park,Surprisingly there are about 6 empty lots!Next is WLDEP,Both level are packed with buses. There are about 8 buses park outside the depot. Not sure if it WT buses. Then last stop to AMDEP & Yis Int.AMDEP as usual is jam packed with buses. But nowadays there's less Bus Plus & PA Lances buses.Last trip to Yis.It is fully utilised. So based on observation here's my solution hopefully they will read it too.
WLDEP(329 lots),W'Lands Interchange(Estimated 92 lots)
Full Control:75(19 buses),177(4 buses),178(16 buses),184(12 buses),187(24 buses Overnight park @ WRI),587*,NR2*,NR3*,700/A(16 buses),858(15 buses Overnight parking @ WRI),859(9 buses),900/A(5 buses),901(5 buses),902*,903(7 buses),911(10 buses Overnight parking @ WRI),912(13 buses Overnight parking @ WRI),913(10 buses),920(3 buses),922(1 bus),950(12 buses),960(21 buses),962(8 buses),963(24 buses),963E*,964(7 buses),965(11 buses Overnight parking @ WRI),966(15 buses)Partial Control:167(13 buses),169(10 buses),851(9 buses),852(9 buses),856(10 buses),857(10 buses),961(18 buses),969(10 buses),980(9 buses)why worry for SMRT? there are people working there who are paid salary to think of solutions... and imagine they are buying another 66 more buses? and btw, there are more than 7 buses parking opposite KJDEP. just the area outside the car repair workshop have at least 8 buses parking along roadside..
They seriously need some roation policy or schedule when it comes to preventive maintainance, while utilising the overnight parking to maximum due to little space for parking inside depot.
