If you guys still think that my post is FAKE, feel free to drop by HarbourFront area to catch a glimpse of RWS8 buses this coming Saturday.
RWS8 starts from 6am to 11:30pm.
I guarantee that your trip to catch RWS8 buses in action will not be a wasted trip.
Take care.
Sincerely
SMB134H
Although the official press release by SMRT is still not out yet (as of 1351h when i last checked) , this is an alternative to support what SMB134H has said about RWS8 : http://www.todayonline.com/Hotnews/EDC100108-0000082/Gateway-to-a-smoother-entry
quote from article :
But SMRT, for example, has confirmed a shuttle service, starting tomorrow, for RWS staff and their families staying at the resort. More plans will be revealed closer to the opening date, said a SMRT spokeswoman.

This is confirmed news, not a route suggestion.
Hope that clarifies

I already knew it was true. :)

Your job is more important than revealing yourself to prove what you wrote.
Please note that this forum is monitored by SBST/SMRT personnel...
To TS:
IMO, it is quite foolish of you to first of all, release this piece of info first, and then proceed to give clues about yourself, it is not worth the risk despite your noble intentions. The coy has ways and the means of tracking errant folks out, failing which, you will end up with a more difficult life with eyes on you and your colleagues. It will not be a pleasant experience. The coy like has very good reasons to keep such stuff under wraps.
Sooner or later, the public will know so let's just appreciate the info given.

Things that are under wraps might be subject to changes. Changes that could potentially inconvenience the public should they get wind of anything and expect things to go as they hear and hence expect.
At a more sinister level, information leaks to other competing companies can constitute corporate espionage and you can get a lawyer's letter for that, as innocent as this "little" act might sound.
SMRT and Sentosa are having talks of introducing somemore new RSW svcs.
Below are the considerations:
- Orchard to RSW
- CGA to RSW
- Esplanade(Marina) to RSW
- Neighbourhood to RSW

Why not you release some military information which the public may know only 10 or 20 years later, then see what will happen to you. Things are classified for good reasons.

Sentosa doesn't have any bus company and please quote your source. Cos in the first place those plans were part of a tender looking for "experienced and established coach operators to bid for the contract to operate Sentosa Shuttle Service Network"

Sry. I mean the bus company that run Red Line, Blue Line, etc in Sentosa.

I would like such workers in my competitors cos it is FREE labour, save on money, no need to pay money to spy or at least research.

I think u are mistaken.
What I mean is that since the info has been 'leaked', there's no point debating now whether it's true or not since the official announcement will be released by SMRT themselves.
Hence, it is up to u all to decide whether the source is true. It is also on the onus of the person to decide whether he/she wants to release the classified info to the public before the official date. Should anything happens, the person shall take the rap. It's as simple as that.
We, as public, may just view the info as reference and I believe ppl will wait till the official statement is up before we jump into conclusion.

Past events that had to do with such leakages have even led to panic before.
It cannot be taken as simply as the informant taking the rap.

I was just wondering on that considered CGA-Sentosa(RSW) svc.
Could it possibly be done with an IATA code and codeshared with airlines so pax can come out of planes and without lugging their luggage, go straight to Sentosa, knowing that their luggage is transfered directly to their end destination? Then there could be a "check-in" booth at the Sentosa end, so pax can tag their luggage directly to the overseas destinations without seeing it again(v.v at Changi) till the end destination.
I know this practice is done in other countries with rail and bus svc. Eurostar and some DB trains have codeshared IATA numbers. LH(Lufthansa German Airlines) and LOT Polish also have these codesharing svcs with buses with an similar(but not IATA) code.
Closer to SIN, I know the City Air Terminal in the cities based for KUL, BKK, and ICN have these services. They do draw pretty decent connecting traffic. A pretty promising scenario isn't it?
Would it also be feasible if Singapore Airlines has its City Air Terminal at ION Orchard(where they have their office) and one at Sentosa RSW, and launch a SIA Hop-On bus to these two locations to merge their current City Hop-On and Sentosa Hop-On with the Airport, and it being the "official" CGA-City-Sentosa connection?
Would like to hear your views.

By trend for both SBST and SMRT, the posters will appear first on the affected bus stops, then within 2-3 working days it will be up on the website, unless the webmaster is STILL sleeping.

As it is, you won't know what is it like to be caught unless you've been caught for breach of company policies. You don't just risk your job on a personal level, you risk your integrity when you breach what you signed, and worse, potential employers can be informed if they wish to find out why you left your previous job abruptly if it ever gets to that.
It's not pleasant.
Are we to encourage such behaviour?
Tomorrow seh ;D
1st Day of RWS8 only have 1 bus spotted in the morning that was SMB 118E (AMDEP SP)
Saw the news yesterday.
Vivo will be pack with pple.
Lots of activities and fun.
Chill out!

Just because SMRT has won the rights to run RWS8 doesnt mean that they are also the one who will be runing the rest of the shuttles to and fro RWS as well. Dont assume anything yet.

I'm not debating on whether the info is true or not. I'm talking about releasing sensitive information.
I think RWS8 would be like service 926 with only 1 bus for the day.
I wonder how the EDS would looks like..
