Saw this poster at the bus stop along Bukit Panjang Road today.
Anybody saw any notice of other new premium services around?
Whoa. Not sure how the demand like tmr. Is relatively cheaper compare with SBST Premium 555.
But it runs only in the PM Peak from CBD to Bukit Panjang.

The new routes by the private operators are what the commuters and mass public want, rather than those premium services that SBST and SMRT are trying to introduce, with the aim to make frequencies poorer and push commuters to board premium services with no comfort initiatives attempted to make our rides more pleasant.

they don't make the frequency poorer, really. imagine, if a service arrives at a heartland interchange/terminal just before 8am, it won't help much to have it turn back towards town if the aim is to arrive before 9am. and that's when running a direct-to-town premium service represents the best use of bussing resources.

Get your point to some extent.
But I do see some obvious tactics.
Side-track a bit.
Like NR3 will always arrive before 190 and 700A on Fridays and Saturdays to lure people to take Nightrider on the presumption that there are no more basic services.
74e and 151e will always arrive before basic services 74 and 151 so that students will choose the fast forward service over the basic.
And I believe if demand is good for premium services, they will start providing better frequencies for premium services and deploy lesser buses for basic services.
good to see players utilising the KPE.
we cant expect people to use the NEL everyday. and this gives them a direct office home mode of transport, seated.
The load of 722 doesn't look good, maybe is still new.
duplicated, deleted
Bus load for 1st trip of 722 is pretty good today. I guess there were about 20 pax on the bus after some alighted at the 1st stop of Bukit Panjang.

NR svs begins at 2330 because many of e SMRT's CBD svs last bus is at 2330 or 2345.
74e & 151e has their own indep allocated schedule and departure timing vs the normal svs beginning 0530/ 0545 resp.
The PTOs has the QoS for basic svs to meet. Priority is still to basic svs.
