TIB795Y (suffix correct?) of 173 had collision with a lorry at Bt Batok Ave 1/Ctrl junction, the part behind West mall. Appear to be a case of bus awaiting right turn and straight moving lorry from opp direction head on crash. Driver cabin of the bus crushed, but I suppose not excessively serious and can be repaired.
Seen off train at approx 1.30pm, didnt note the time. Up till 3.25pm or so both vehicles still there, TP direct traffic.
Macham 173 seems cursed, with incidents of collison at Clementi int (said to be TIB700X) and TIB794A KO

The road does not have some lines which you can turn when there is green light and the green arrow isn't flashing.
So the bus driver could be following the traffic rules and when he is turning, the lorry was speeding...so the bus driver thought it is gonna stop but the lorry didn't and went forward to the bus and hit head to head.Or it could be the bus driver fault for not following the traffic rules. So it is head to answer your questions unless someone was there and they saw it live. -
Heard that the lorry ran red light. Not confirmed by anyone.

If they mean SMRT BC, then i have saw it before on 961. The 961 BC was using handphone while driving at Bt Timah Rd. -

Last year april wen i took 535G on 169,at the junction waiting for the lights to turn green,the SL kept taking out his handphone calling someone.But as he cldnt get the call,he quickly put the hp at a corner of the dashboard as the lights turned green. -
today 2 breakdowns
TIB641H(WLDEP 187) doing 187 brokedown at Jurong West Ave 1 Blk 441 bus stop at 12pm+, should be engine problem. the bus successfully move off after the maintenance team from their maintenance truck has fixed it. Most passengers were transferred to one Scania ELBO bus.
SBS8393P(BRBP 157) doing 157 declared brokedown at Braddell Rd bus stop(Opp Blk 1004) at 3pm. Before it brokedown on that spot, the bus give out black thick smoke when the BC revs the engine to high. The bus keep stopping in sudden every time when huge black smoke come out from exhaust. Complimentary tickets were issued. This bus was later replaced by SBS494J.

This bus had been giving out black thick smoke. Everytime see it when this bus leave the bus bay. -

u put ur eyes on the exhaust of pipe of this bus when it is leaving the bus bay then u can see liao. other KUB also hav but this bus quite serious for a new bus.
