Empty plot of Land next to bedok interchange

Saw a signboard there indicating
that the plot of land is up for Tender now
I wonder will it be connected to the bedok
interchange or rather the old bedok interchange
will be relocated to somewhere else?

if the tenderer is smart enough he would take the chance to move the new Bedok Int there then layout would somewhat look like Toa Payoh. haha

for me, i anticipate that will be the transport hub, with interchange and a small scale shopping, not large scale as fraser centerpoint malls will definitely protest (Bedok point of course), with MRT linked with the hub via underpass (AMK Hub style). The interchange will be built at 1st story and the old interchange will function till new one is ready and the old interchange will most likely being demolished and the land will be for spare. This is provided that the mall is small scale. If large scale, the interchange will stay as status quo, but air-conditioned, and the mall development will be around the interchange and like Bishan MRT style of gradually make the interchange air-con and the patching up works will be like Tampines int style

The new interchange/commercial development will be built at the current interchange site. The temp interchange will be build at the empty land beside the current interchange. think the earliest that the new interchange is ready will be 2012/2013. now only put on reserve list.. if got ppl interested then will put out for tenders.
some facts:
temp interchange -around 18515 m2
new interchange - around 24902 m2
number of bus services- estimated 29
56 lots for standard 12m bus and 2 lots for 18m bus for both temp and new interchange
10 sawtooth boarding berths and 5 alighting berth for both temp and new interchangeall information are subject to change...

Well, I really hope that Bedok Int would make a facelift if the tenderers had successfully bid for the land. The interchange is now operating for 30 years and the only alteration to the interchange was its extension / sheltering of interchange in 1984, to accomodate existing services from former Cahi Chee Ter. Its original layout of 1979 was deemed inadequate in terms of sheltered space in boarding berths.

Other interchanges like Toa Payoh, AMK, Boon Lay had went thru major facelift over these years. Clementi would be next to have an air-conditioned interchange, followed by Serangoon. It is high time that Bedok interchange ought to have a facelift too, and thruout all these 20-30 years and nothing had been done to Bedok interchange so far.

i hope it stays at status quo. Now, i consider bedok as one of the most user-friendly interchange in singapore. I hate AC ints

I feel that Eunos Interchange should relocated further inside the housing estate.When the old industrial estate torn down i hope they will built it there.Now so under utilise except for S60 berth during peak hours.Cases of pax wanna a seat.

if the current int is used for a shopping centre and the new aircon int at the grass patch area it should not be too bad a location.. -
