Ya JB MK3s all getting extention for another yr, but what surprises me is 584H, since it's not a JB bus. 1M still reflects 05/12/10 as its deregistrating date.

SBS584H VS SBS586C
584H was indeed a very big surprise to me.
My reactions when I saw the photos
SBS584H: Shiok ah, like new bus
SBS586C: Sian ah, can wait for the next bus or not?

Haha, 584H's rims aren't as sparkling anymore, but it's still the most outstanding MKIII in HGDEP's fleet of MKIIIs.
First time most of MK3s gonna extend for 2 times??? EPIC moment!!!
Next Friday will be commencing with the mass MK3 deregistration. You might want to catch it in its final days before its gone.

Suspect they will get another one year of extension if they are repainted again for the exterior since the citaros are not on the road yet.

No wonder Sv 160/170 Mk3s are still around and its fleet was not having a makeover yet.. Supposingly this year both cross-border services are getting Mk4s to replace Mk3s but right now, nothing is done yet.
Suspect a few will be extended, especially for HG side (be it 582-601 or whatever). But not enough spare buses; although other mark3s like 640D-658D batch can cover. Just hoping they'll stick around longer. (:

SLBP can always transfer their unassigned EEVs over there if they have no intention to replace their Mercs for now.
Just like what AMDEP did by transferring EEVs to BNDEP.

Till now I have not seen the SBS582M batch being repainted.
Hope that one of the deregistered MK3s can spare its engine to the poor Strider burnt in Tampines interchange...

SBS582M to SBS601S offically get their lifespan extension till 2011.

SBS622G onwards (I mean all of the JB-registered buses) never get their lifespan extension yet.

Wonder if the engine can fit into it or not?
What will happen when Mk IIIs get decommissioned? Which buses are going to serve JB routes? DM3500?
