  Continuing on the trend started in 2007, it's time to recap once again the various events which have happened during the last year in this decade.

  As usual, post all happenings - be it memorable cameos, redeployments or events - that have occured during this past year. In addition, talk about your experience with other bus enthusiasts and personal matters on buses this year.

  expect UMW Lances to be sold or scrap earlier than schedule follow by CAC Merc to make way for more new WAB buses after Elbos and UDs RIP.Yutong will come in as a few units only.King Long Hybrid trial not so successful for my prediction.If really they wanna purchase limited numbers of WAB Bendies probably Citaro G,Then box bendies and probably Hinos have to go unless AMDEP decided to move house..

  Most memorable cameo of 2009: SBS 9889U - Service 99 (20 Jun)

  3rd last trip: Close to 20 bus enthusiasts catching it. Most stood on road divider along Commonwealth Ave West outside Clementi Interchange to photograph before dashing across the road to take the bus. On board the bus at the same stop, one bus enthusiast tried to photograph the photographers in action - the photo showed one photographer blocking a BC. Some took their photos at Jurong West - the bus enthusiasts on board were captured making monkey faces on camera.

  2nd last trip: About 10 odd bus enthusiasts (including me) stood near the junction of Commonwealth Ave West and Clementi Ave 6 to take photo. I took the next bus (SBS 2610C) and went all the way to Jurong West before crossing the road at Boon Lay Ave and taking SBS 9889U all the way back to Clementi. At Clementi, some stood at the junction of Commonwealth Ave West and Clementi Ave 3 to take photo. The bus bunched with SBS 8071T from Jurong East Ave 1 all the way to Clementi, but the "race" was eventually won by SBS 9889U, who came in front of SBS 8071T.

  Last Trip: Only one bus enthusiast went to catch the bus on it's final 1734 hrs trip. The bus went off service after 1926 hrs.
