  Add in TIB1044A (WL 856)

   

  I like the unit, looks like STARIS.

  Red for destination, green for Bus Stopping, an amber/orange for Welcome Aboard.

  can be a simple LED screen. PIS also comes with audio for the blind. i reckon the new SMRT ones dun have audio still..which is rare in the world. most PIS comes with announcement systems.

   

  or a real advanced LCD screen or plasma Tv showing the locality map or orving GPS maps.

  If it displays a roving map with GPS location, it will be called a GDS (Graphic Display System)

   

  PIS also applies to trains.

  TIB1238H now the coloured PIS system. The original date/time display is not moved to the rear section replacing the small bus stopping sign.

  I prefer KMB's. Maybe we can have something audible like "The next stop is, Opposite Block 123" or from a terminal/interchange, "Welcome aboard SMRT. This is service number 190 which will take you to New Bridge Road Terminal. The next stop is, ...". I hope SBST implements this as well.
