  105 from serangoon to jurong east is close to 1hr, another way is to take train until outram park and change to east-west line, maybe thats the fastest loh

  How about 105 > Jln Toa Payoh > 506?

  Not the cheapest but if connection is good, you'll be on the PIE all the way till Bukit Batok. Btw, http://buses.sgforums.com/forums/1279/topics/378712 .

  my favourite is 153 -> 985 -> 66 (JE)/157(JE Ave 1/JW Ave 1)/174(BNL)/178(Taman Jurong). You should try that lol.

  also  must take into account the road condition,a shorter route may be slowed down by small road heavy traffic , traffic lights, ect..
