  They can always sub the UDs with more Scanias and throw some Merc over to the services which lost their Scanias or Merc (which they would still sub the Merc with Scanias). That was what happened when most of the UDs were laid-up; CAC Merc x-fer from other depots to WLDEP and then made to perm 178. After a while the Scanias came in and the CAC Merc were x-ferred out of WLDEP or made to perm other services under WLDEP

   Quite a number of 1st time happens on 854, i.e. Nissan UD, Hino Volgren, Yutong, etc., so this is just my guess.

  Hino Demo (TIB905Y). 854 got alot of demo bus and some buses are even the first(for the rego) of the model like TIB1019Z.

  Yes. TIB1019Z to TIB1023K is registered in December 2000 whereas TIB1025E is registered in June 2000

  This is due to the fact that TIB1019Z to 1023K are from the Euro 1 batch of Habits and registered in this range to 'fill the gap'. TIB1025E is a Euro 2 Habit.

  Euro 1 Habits: TIB1019Z to 1023K, 1061A, 1063U to 1147L.
  Euro 2 Habits: TIB1025E to 1060C, 1062Y, 1148J to 1247G.

  Lol. Since 178 already happen to get OC cameo, there could be a chance of Citaro doing 178.

  But its best to put on 858, let CGA people get fascinated abit first.

  Meaning Euro 1 only 285hp/1200nm just like box Hispano @ MKII Hispano?

  Euro 2 is 295hp/1250nm right?
