i think i saw it today, along with 772M
Before anyone else shoot any more nonsense, let me just clarify everything here alright?
FIRST OF ALL, THERE ARE NO BUS SERVICE DEPOT TRANSFERS TAKING EFFECT AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME. ALL SMRT BUS SERVICES ARE STILL RUNNING UNDER THEIR CURRENT BUS DEPOTS.
Secondly, Service 61 is still under WLDEP/AMDEP 61 dual control as of today. I believe what carbikebus meant about Service 61 being under KJDEP is because of the formation of SMG 3 one/two months back. Yes, it's under the management of SMG 3 but buses still come from WLDEP/AMDEP respectively. I have just taken the service today, and the Service Leaders are the same group of people.
Thirdly, Service 173 was supposed to have been transferred back to KJDEP from WLDEP on 8 Nov 2009. Service Leaders were even already notified to start learning other WLDEP services already on that day of notification. In the end? Nothing was touched even until now, I even heard they temporarily shelved the plan.
Fourthly, RUMOURS ARE RUMOURS. We can speculate them, but we must not believe that they will come true in time as yet. I personally prefer to hear it from the actual sources than relying on Service Leaders whom I wonder whether where they got their sources from or they just simply cooked them up. It's possible for all I know. Thanks.

I tot they are underground tracks? how could you be possible see sign of it building up? anyway kim chuan depot is for CCL trains only.
Kim Chuan Depot are built for CCL trains leh not buses. If SMRT were to have new depot then AMDEP should be the one who need it badly.

It's not a joke. If you look carefully at Kim Chuan Depot, it looks like it has been built to accommodate buses also. What you said on Changi Depot, obviously it isn't. The depot is used to accommodate EWL Trains and the tracks are above ground. There isn't any place built to accommodate buses unlike Kim Chuan Depot.

It is not for buses definitely. Why LTA want to help SMRT build a bus depot?
quoted from somewhere....
The depot also has a central warehouse for the Circle Line, storing three to
five years worth of materials and spare parts needed for the maintenance work.
The place is packed with subterranean activities, but the ground level
will not be neglected. About three hectares of land left empty will be used for
light industrial development which can have buildings of up to nine storeys

anyway did i say it's confirmed ? you never know SMRT will open up a new depot to help out the services in the east
SMRT Buses do not need any more depots as some buses are clearing out.

You sound like you own SMRTB. How do you know they do not need any more depots?
Do you know that WLDEP buses are forced to park on the road outside every night because there isn't any space in the depot to accomodate so many buses? Get your facts right before you post .. ...

SMRT clearing out those old buses + O405, should be ok for now.
