Yehh. I love their suspensions! Previously they were parked near to the exit. Now they are shifted slightly inner to the right. Still viewable from a DD though.
my TIB365E vid.. feel free to dislike it...
once again CSS185P is on 178 today and now TIB365E is also on service 853 today. what is SMRT doing

Yah.... Are the SMRT deployers so forgetful?

I wonder if they extended the lifespan of the buses. Farewell ride now useless!

At least got memorable picture ma... Now you won't know when it's gonna disappear.

I feel that SMRT is very lapse in monitoring their buses nowdays compared to the other time in Dec 2008 when the mass Nissan UDs were laid-up. CSS185P is supposed to be deregistered since 01/04/2010 and TIB365E on 09/04/2010. And yet the starters still let the deregistered buses continue running on the roads illegally. I think SMRT is asking for trouble this time round by the LTA as well as ROV.
By the way even their duty rosters are not even updated accordingly. TIB840A is still reflected in service 852's roster though this bus had been laid up weeks ago.

but 1M status still shows DR-ed
Maybe only a couple of fleets will stay till 2012 though
Feel like there is a lag in the LTA system. I don't think our SMRT staff is dumb to know if it's de-reg. I think what i can guess that SMRT already told LTA bout their plan and that they want to extend the UD lifespan for 2 years but there might have been a lapse in the system. Not only 365 is concerned but from a fren, 205 and 207 and 185 is also affected. I dunno if it's true but we just wait and see what will SMRT do.
Do note that the TP can summon SMRT for running a de-reg bus on the roads.
So how many UD actually left in SMRT fleet?
Cheers.

It would be cool to still see some UDs still running on SMRT. Hope the extension news is true.
Cheers.

If the extension is true, and they didn't refurb the interior, i'd rather it go now
But to be honest, wondered how would be the re-furbed UDs be like though

New coating of creamish paint won't count as much, must have the interor refurbed, like the Scanias

I don't think that is the case. If SMRT wanted to extend the Nissan UDs they should have done so long time ago, just like the Volvo MK3s from SBST.
Anyway I feel that the Nissan UDs should be cleared off for the new Citaros to come in. In fact SMRT already got a handful of spare buses to cover ever since the 134 new OC500LEs were bought in, eg. as many as 28 spare Mercs compared to only 6-7 outgoing Nissan UDs under WLDEP alone. And AMDEP got plenty of buses just to replace the solo TIB365E.

basically you just feel everything needs to be new.

Yes, ofcourse, if not why the SBS 0405s got extended by 2 years?
Given the condition, they should be chucked to the lay-up zone
agree with SMB 32T though
