My point is, on the expressway, speed of bus doesnt show whether it is really ahead or behind of schedule. Whether they r rushing or slowing down is mostly seen on normal roads.

Sometimes when the bus speeds at 60KPH for a long time , I will start to think that it feel slow.

Express services seem to be struggling with their timetable these days. Traffic conditions at PIE for the entire day is just simply unbearable.

today hailed SBS 8883S on 99 to clementi, the bus was almost empty. but then until Boon Lay Way, the bus was really SLOW. then SBS 9227E overtook front bus and chiong until like disappeared. even approach traffic lights that BC like as if purposely slow down to wait for red light.
i think SBS 8883S cannot overtake 9227E because SBS 9227E lambat while SBS 8883S is too early to reach clementi in scheduled time.

In my own opinionm which this is being said alot of times, bus travelling time can be fast or slow totally depends on driver. 1 such example is SBS8210J on Sv 174/174e. This BC that i knw always run and run despite he is ahead of schedule. He mostly reach BNL or NBR early by 5-12 mins and also overtake his front bus while the front bus being overtaken by him won't be able to chase him back.

Like today I took TIB960L on 960, The chinese SL, not China man, drove damn fast at W'lands Rd & PIE. At PIE, the bus with almost full pax, run at about 80km/h in 'N' gear sia. Its my first time that took the fastest and loudest Volgren ever. Its a "WOW" man.

SBS 3834S just now i took it service 154.. super fast (speeding) along AYE got few stop and i just like wow! with a cool aircon..
i give this bus

how the hell can an auto vehicle run at such a high speed in neutral? or is there cruise control present?
btw for 154, the most 'speedy' part is always along the side road towards taman jurong [not much stopping around that region of AYE]... after the spore' mint stop. usually the mercs and maybe LOs tend to chiong along that stretch, provided no signs of vehicles entering/exiting the slip road =p

Most buses dun really have cruise control one, only got neutral.

To SMRT ppl, please revise your timetable, it is really inefficient.

add on: two 966s and a 963 overtaked the 187 along BKE.

For what I had taken on 187:Most of Scanias (in fact all) can chiong except most of bendies (for what I had taken, mostly cameo buses)
But I took TIB674M on 187 one of the time, he drove at slow speed all the way.
Anyway, took TIB841Y to home for about 3 times at same timing. From WDL to Bukit Batok, it chionged very fast. However, after the sector, it drove at a slow speed.
