According to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scania_K-series#SMRT_Buses
and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMRT_Buses
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In 2009, SMRT Buses is currently taking delivery of 61 Scania K230UBs. The demostrator unit was registered as SMB200C and deployed along Service 852. The first few units are deployed along 3 SMRT services, They are Service 700, Service 857 and Service 961.
These buses also feature a built-in announcement system, similar to that used on the MRT. Examples of announcements played included, "Thank you for travelling with SMRT Buses" and "Doors are closing", accompanied by a buzzer.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any truth to this?
Fake. You can try finding SMB200C to begin with.
IP Address 116.15.121.101 please own up.
wikipedia is the last place to look for something fully accurate and reliable.

Evidence of fake info of deliveries of K230UB:
In 2009, SMRT Buses (1) is currently taking delivery of 61 Scania K230UBs. The demostrator unit (2) was registered as SMB200C and (3) deployed along Service 852. The (3) first few units are deployed along 3 SMRT services, They are (3) Service 700, Service 857 and Service 961.
These buses also feature a built-in announcement system, similar to that used on the MRT. Examples of announcements played included, "Thank you for travelling with SMRT Buses" and "Doors are closing", accompanied by a buzzer.
---------------------
(1) - SMRT did not announced any news of delivering KUBs to the public.
(2) - 'SMB200C'; in fact the actual one is SMB200A (info from SMB32T), is not even registered yet to LTA
(3) - 'SMB200C' was not even a permanent bus for svc 852. The 'first few units' was also not introduced yet.
And I remember CSS200D which was perm service 852 before going on lay-up.
What the hell is that ? SMRT having KUBs ? Never !
This guy must have been in dreamland.

not offence to the TS (in fact we should thank him), but there's nothing factual we can conclude. as ben has said, wiki is the last source you can go to for local bus information.

yea... lols
First of all Wikipedia is not considered a main official source of information especially if you are using it for academic research.
Wiki is the silliest place to seach about info for sg buses.
not sure if there will be any people here who may agree with me on this
off-topic (related to wikipedia):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ang_Mo_Kio_Bus_Depot_(SBS_Transit)
the page for AMDEP in wikipedia
i'm wondering why the type of buses available in AMDEP and the services controlled by AMDEP needs to be listed in wikipedia when its of no use or understanding to the public viewing wikipedia. this is not all. pages of the other depots for SBST and SMRT with similar formats are also created.
beforehand, only AMDEP's page and SLBP's page were opened and listing those services terminating/start trip from either depots. isn't that sufficient enough? adding more information (examples are listed in the first paragraph) may/will go against wikipedia's guidelines for notability (correct me if im wrong).
SMRT has Scania K230UB , so fake.
http://www.pcworld.com/article/170826/wikipedia_changes_editing_policy.html
At the moment, a few thousand articles on the U.S. site are beholden to the new rule -- such as those about President Obama, Michael Jackson, and Britney Spears -- but Wikipedia wishes to broaden its scope and apply these new rules to every article about a living person. The German language version of Wikipedia already restricts editing on all of its articles, so it's not a long shot that a similar attitude may hit the U.S. site soon. (A programmer pulled back the veil on that anonymous editing a few years ago with a tool that exposed the source of edits, so readers could assess their credibility.)
Well...not all hope is lost, hopefully SBST/SMRT "buying" some weird buses will be a thing of the past soon in their wikipage
I've locked up the two PTO pages to be open to only registered users for a month, hopefully it will go away. Register an account if you need to make changes to the pages, it's a pretty simple process to sign up.
Content on SGWiki, deployments, etc generally do not qualify for inclusion on Wikipedia. Don't be surprised if it's deleted (there has been cases before). Transfer the data to SGWiki and develop it from there instead.

You admin at Wiki?
Anyway, do you think anything deregistered should not be in the list?
