hi guys
i need help going to Blk 167, Jalan Bukit Merah, Tower 4, from serangoon central some help? -
Take 147 (towards Clementi) along Serangoon Central opposite the Interchange. Alight at Bt Merah Town Centre bus stop along Jalan Bt Merah. Journey time is about 50 mins.
Or you can take bus 153 from any bus stops along Upp Serangoon Rd, which will bring you to Bt Merah Interchange direct. Journey time is about the same but likely to be less crowded. -
The in vehicle timing of 147 depends on what time ur taking this service. There are often jams near Sim Lim Square which might delay it. -

100 will stop at Alexandra Village (same stop as 195) while 147, 196 and 198 will stop at old Safra Bt Merah bus stop along Jln Bt Merah. Not much of a difference.

Can take 86 to Ang Mo Kio Ave 3 Blk 700B. Cross the road and trasnfer to 74 to SIM HQ.
Or u can take 163 to Upper Thomson Rd B02 bus stop after the junction between Marymount Lane and transfer to 74.

blk 700b is the bus stop before amk hub. 86 goes into the interchange proper after this stop. -

For alternative to SIM HQ, you can take sv 163 to Thomson area and transfer to service 52.
One thing to note is the waiting time for BOTH services.
Same as Tamago, I agree with takng 163 out of your area. The best stop to transfer is at the bus stop "Opp St Theresa's Home" (Just before 163 turn left into Braddell Road).
You have both 52 and 74 there. -

u shld alight at the long bus stop before big mac centre and cross the road.
the fastest route is really 163 -> 52 if u have iris. -

the bus stop opp st. theresa's home, is actually the one after bishan fire station/shell/marymount lane/shunfu estate. it is situated on the slip road before the on-ramp to the flyover above macritchie. it is important that u alight at that stop only as 163 turns into toa payoh thereafter. this is the only stop where both 52 and 74 stops together, allowing you take whatever comes along (74 comes fast, but journey is a bit longer while 52 takes a while to come but definitely preferred since it uses the PIE).
iris: u need a 3G handset capable of surfing the web. head to www.sbstransit.com.sg/mobileiris. check ur telco for charges. or u can simply SMS if u're with singtel, 5 cents per sms. u need to know the bus stop code (5-digit number on the bus stop pole), and then enter the service and it'll tell u how long u've got to wait.
