National Stadium may be down but Kallang Leisure Park will soon open.

The extension will commence on Aug19 it will take the old 608 route after Marine Parade Rd, Siglap Rd, Upp East Coast Rd, Bedok South Ave 1, Bedok South Rd , Bedok Int.

907K was also 65 for a while

I think the purpose of extending 16 to bedok could be covering the 608? also yeah may be AR/BN control. I think 16 can use the old 608 berth in bedok.

No wonder AMDEP suddendly give back some MKIV(DM) to BNDEP. Hope to see some MKIV(DM) on 16 instead of full fleet MKIII.

OLD 'bone-shaker' non-air- con buses are being assigned on a long-haul route - SBS service 155 - covering 42 bus stops, with stops at traffic junctions. Ironically, air-con buses are deployed on feeder services plying short routes.Chin Kee Thou
ONCE again, transport operators are proposing another fare hike, citing high costs. In return, they assure us that service standards will improve.
Not only must service standards improve, but also the quality of buses. In the east, services 82, 112, 113 and 325 still use non-air-conditioned buses. Isn't this inadequate, especially in these days of hot and humid weather?
So please ensure all routes have air-conditioned buses to justify the request for a fare hike.

The obvious case is when SMRT cutback their bus routes. Just count the number of buses they withdraw from service or those that suffer route cutback over the past few years.
The other not so obvious case is when SMRT cutbacks their last bus operational hours. Ever noticed their trunk buses end earlier and earlier? Instead of ending at 0000 or 2345, It was brought forward to end at 2300 or 2330 now. As such, people who needs to travel late at night naturally transfer to alternative SBS buses which end about half an hour to an hour later.
As such, SMRT is literally handing business to SBS.
Whereas SBS is expanding its market share by introducing more bus services, SMRT seems to be scaling back.
