Discontinued usage of RM1 coins on SMRT Service 950
From 01 November 2005, Service 950 will no longer accept RM1 coins on its buses. This is accordance to the Malaysian Government that such coins will no longer be legal tender from 23 November 2005.

Yes, I understand that information that are unreleased should be kept secret. But in situations where it is evident that some things are in full public view i.e. number of unknown bus on bus sign board, I hope at least there's some place where we can discuss (and yes, maybe even speculate) as long as we state clearly that these are merely guesses or personal opinions and not real fact.
Yes, such discussions should be refrained from the "official press" thread as it might unknowingly mislead other users of this forum into thinking that they are official statement from the relevent companies. However, It would be great if there is such a thread that would be similar to a "fantasy" or "off-topic" thread where such discussions can take plae. -
Simple. Just add to the end (NOTE: This is in fact a RUMOUR). But of course, if it does mislead, and because there are people who do get easily excited, we will edit it where we see fit.

SUNDAY BUS SERVICE FOR PARISHIONERS (IMPROVED SERVICE)
[CHURCH OF ST ANTHONY]
The Routes have been improved and reorganised to provide a better service for Parishioners to attend the 9.15am & 11am Masses. There will be a flat charge of $1.00 for the service. There will be two (2) pick up routes for each Mass. The pickup points will be the public bus stops & designated bus stops.
START TIME OF PICK UP FOR 9.15AM MASS: ROUTES 1 & 2 – 8.30AM
START TIME OF PICK UP FOR 11AM MASS: ROUTES 1 & 2 – 10.30AM

wow. 59 is seriously going head-on with 506. seems that SBST are introducing bus services with a significant amount of express sectors eg 34, 43, 48, 52, 59. and my fellow schmates need not compete for space in 8 or 21 to get to sch anymore since there is 59 at bedok reservoir rd.

Hmmm.. notice now a lot of buses introduced originating from the North East sector.
Is it now a lucrative route (new estates) or are they just filling in gaps in places that have been in demand?
Well, now I can say that they've not only enhanced it, they've practically strengthened those links.
Enhance the links of Clementi Road with Clementi MRT Station and Toh Guan Road with Jurong East MRT Station.
Residents of Clementi Road and Toh Guan Road, and students of SIM and Ngee Ann Poly will really rejoice now that they can get to the MRT with less waiting. -
