SMRT claimed the escalators are set to move in a fixed direction.. and they "had no idea" why it could move backwards..

TEMPORARY DIVERSION OF SMRT BUS SERVICES
FOR MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL CELEBRATIONS AT CHINATOWN
In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations at Chinatown on 4 and 18 September 2005, a stretch of Eu Tong Sen Street and New Bridge Road between Upper Cross Street and Kreta Ayer Street will be closed to all vehicles from 3pm to 11pm. As such, the routes of SMRT Services 61, 190, 851, 961 and 970 will be diverted during these hours. Please refer to the attached map for details.
Commuters can contact Transitlink Hotline at 1800-2255663 or SMRT Customer Relations Centre at 1800-3368900 for more information. -

- Connaught Drive and St Andrew Road from 1.00am to 2.00pm
- Ophir Road slip road to the ECP (eastbound) and ECP exit (eastbound) to Rochor Road from 5.45am to 6.45am
- ECP exits to Fort Road (both directions) and ECP service road towards the city from 5.45am to 9.00am
- Stadium Crescent from 5.45am to 10.00am

-Maxwell Road

We are pleased to note that commuter claims have significantly reduced by 23%
if theres a high number of claims daily, u think transitlink will think of such a thing? given that many ppl does not file claims makes this more attractive for transitlink then..
and, my guess is most ppl will sure opt for the complimentary ticket

Service 965 has been converted to a Loop service with effect from 11th Sep 2005 (today). Saw the notice at the bus stop this afternoon, wonder when they put it up.
All operating details remains unchanged, just that it will loop at Sengkang Interchange.
SMRT website has not been updated. -
i tot 965 always "loop" in the practical view.. the driver just park along a berth until the time to depart then he leaves.. the bus does not park at the bus parking lots.
same for sv159 last time.. -
