Temporary route diversion for
Service 966
on Wednesday, 15 June 2005
from 11.00pm till end of operation
A stretch of PIE between Serangoon Rd and Aljunied Rd will be closed to all vehicular traffic on the above-mentioned date and time due to road works. As such, Service 966 will be temporarily diverted in the direction towards Woodlands Regional Interchange.

Service 963 will be calling at an additional bus stop outside Science Park along AYE with effect from Sunday, 12 June 2005.

I think the enhancement is to re-create the lost link by ex-service 605 between Telok Blangah Way and Bt Purmei Ave. -

Does this mean that Bt Purmei will now have a direct link to the nearest MRT Stn (HBF)? However, I had taken numerous trips on services 65 and 855 and I observed that only a few passengers take these two services from Bt Purmei (Lower Delta Rd) to HarbourFront and vice-versa. So it will not be feasible to enhance service 855 to ply Bt Purmei Ave bi-directional. Somemore Bt Purmei is under the control of SBST, by having a SMRT service to be enhanced to ply there may not be agreeable.
The main reason why service 131 is enhanced to ply Bt Purmei is to provide the lost link by ex-service 605 between Bt Purmei Ave and Telok Blangah Way. If the main reason is to connect Bt Purmei to the nearest NEL station, then why isn't there a service connecting HarbourFront MRT station to Telok Blangah Heights, Drive and St 32? -

actually, i asked SBS last time about the duplication of 371 with 163 a few years back. it was said that in the fernvale area, pax taking 163 will pay 83 cents, while 371 will costs 63 cents. the presence of 371, a feeder svc, is to let passengers pay the minimum to get to the town centre. However, now, 371 is withdrawn, and 163A (wuich i never seen it), replaces 371 exactly. the fares to fernvale on 163 were also subsequently adjusted to be fixed to 63 cents.. well well.... same as 227 and 17 i bedok..Originally posted by sbst275:But they are still within 64c (wef 1 June) range -
