Cigarette price will rise in a few days!!

Today I at coffeeshop the kopi kia told me cigarette will price will become $10.50 for the $9.50 ones in a few days.
The old one no picture one will be completely phrase out.
A lot of my fds say before "reach $10 I sure quit!"
I want to tekan them!!
Anyone heard this news?! -

I totally agree that smokers support the economy...When ask why smoke...Just tell them u smoke because u want to create jobs in the tobacco factory...If they are able to get jobs...there will be more money be pump back into the economy...Then when the smokers get sick...They will have to see doctors...U know how expensive is medical services now right...And now they see...the money will be pump in again...with more money and more patients in hospital...more staff will be needed and more people will be employed...By buying cigarette is doing our economy good....Originally posted by elindra:Next thing you know it becomes some kind of collector's item and you see it on ebay or something.

pls la brudders...u think tobacco industry is a good industry to support meh? where ya brains?? even if the smokers dun buy cigarettes, they dun stash up their money in some container forever right?? they will still pump it back into the economy in some form. even spending it on gambling is good cos $$ frm the singapore pools goes back to helping the charity and community and i guess this amt is comfirm higher thn tt received frm revenue frm the government so smokers, u haf logic u shld jus try to quit smoking now. its isnt as hard as u think. and spend the $$ something on useful pls. anyway...this transition will probably take some time so the government should raise the price of cigarettes to abt $1 per stick. i know this is too drastic an increase so it shld be done over 5 yrs or so. so....$20 a pack....any1???

Each time the price rises, a small grp will try and stop becos it's too expensive. But how many actually succeed quitting due to the price rise, I wonder.
