I heard this at my flat at night, my neighbours heard it at theirs too.....
Its only happens at night, even in the middle of the night
Its only happens in HDB flats
Its always only one marble dropping and bouncing...
......And has its occur to u that kids nowadays nv play marbles anymore?.....anyone knows why?
My fd says its ghost and he dared to shout vulgarities at 'it' to stop dropping the marbles bcoz he already give offering during the 7th month. Dats what he says....
Me hear the marble sound when I sleeping at night.....cover my blanket over my head and pretend nv hear... -
yup yup... i never thought of it b4 too .. till one of my fren ask mi about it...even if got kids play marble.....why so many ppl heard b4??? so many kids playing marble meh??? in the middle of the nite some more. haha

last time got hear la, in my old flat in toa payoh. now never hear liao.
haha when i was in phuket wif my classmates, we joked mah, say tonite we roll marbles outside someone's room, scare them. then my friend, b4 we take off, he went burger king eat, got shrek toy, then he put outside the door, say guard the hotel room haha

Hmmm~ Saw alot of topics on dis marble thingy liao... Mi oso heard b4 lah... Esp last time at my old flat... Standard got de loh... Marbles droppin sound in e middle of e nite... Somemore i noe my neighbour above her children all older than mi dun play marbles de loh...
Smtimes even come wif sounds of draggin chair or furniture... Got one time i even heard sound like ppl blowin straw comin fr my livin room. But i pretend nv hear n juz slp... -
I think a lot of ppl hear the marble sound. I just want to take a step further: what the sound means or will it affect anything to us?
For my case, my sister is always sick after move to this flat; from backache, bad headache, easily exhausted, etc. and itÂ’s last for a few months from one after another. I guess it's around 7 sicknesses which she has rarely before.
If you have some similarity or totally different but strangely happening to you, relatives or someone that you know, list it down on this forum. We discuss it together. -

expansion and contraction of stuff...
stuff will contract in the cool of the night at different rates... causing these sounds.. -

my neighbours upstairs like to make noises..sometimes between midnight to 3am...coins, marble dropping, kids running back and forth...furniture being dragged etc....wonder why they so late dun wan to sleep

When hear marbles drop on floor above u. Take basketball, volleyball and aany large ball types and "hoot" ur ceiling.
Marbles drop one time, hoot one time. If neighbours come down to complain, you complain back that if he/she can drop marbles, you can hoot the ceiling with your balls.

I also thought before why in the middle of the night ppl still play with marbles >.<
Never think until the supernatural side though. Maybe its my neighbour's majong tiles drop on floor.

i oso heard it.
it seems that every1 from HDB heard it. heard from other ppl that the contractors put marbles on every floor or something liddat, so that the child spirits will play wif the marbles n dont disturb the residents living there, true onot?
anyway heres my own experience... i always heard the marbles sound, like bouncing up n down. i told my mum abt it, n she say its juz lizards making noise or the pipe expand n contract, WTF!! obviously is bouncing sound lor...
n sometimes got added features 1, i can oso hear a marble been rolled ACROSS the ceiling... OMG (apart from the bouncing of cos)
den, even worst, some nights when i slp, will b waked up by sounds of furniture being dragged ard, slamming of doors, even nailing noise lor!
erm... btw ppl.... i live on the topmost floor
