I liked italy. Rome was special, so full of history with the colleseum and all. I didnt really like venice though, found it very commercial and alittle dirty and very crowded.Originally posted by True_Xerion:Italy was nice; the history, the food, the people ... & did i mention the food? There's also the Mardi Gras in Venice which you have to experience to know it!
Definitely where i'd choose to live if ever i had to move

London? hmm, mixed feeling abt that place, great bookstores along Charing Cross Rd & ahh, the British Museum!! But OMG the ppl there + dreadful weather! At most i can only take up to 5days there b4 i go bonkers ..... York & Lake District are pretty places tho to get away too, far far away from the noisy people & frentic pace.Originally posted by JLennon:No takers for UK (in particular London)? Love the place. Its a fascinating cosmopolitan place and better still, ppl there speaketh English!!Can be quite tiresome to ask your way around in other foreign countries where English is not frequently used. There is always Chinatown if one feels homesick for Chink delights. But its a pricey place to stay though....
Another great place to stay is Canada. Spacious and affordable and people there are friendly too. Downside is the extreme temperatures in winter.
I know what you mean. Initially didn't like the place at all when I first arrived but grew to love it. I like urban life, temperate weather, mainstream English sports, black pepper beef horfunOriginally posted by True_Xerion:London? hmm, mixed feeling abt that place, great bookstores along Charing Cross Rd & ahh, the British Museum!!
