watched it
while the movie itself really uses a lot of old school effects and tried n tested tricks to scare, the real underlying theme of the show is that ghosts are mostly harmless, and that humans do not have a wide enough perspective of the world.
in the show, shu qi's character keeps thinking the ghosts want to harm the pregnant women'c unborn child when in reality, they just want to be reincarnated. what the director is trying to show, i believe, is the narrow-mindedness of humans.
also think its a rather sad show, with regards to the r/s between shu qi's character, the guy she was with, and the ghost who was following her. -
