I like the traditional bak chang... so the usual stuff.. meat, chestnut... yumyum
oh, also to follow tradition, must put in a piece of fatty meat too
Heard from my colleague that they're making Abalone ones
for $25 not worth it.. probably not very nice to eat too... snob appeal I think... -

not too bad, the Nonya chang... but i like chunks of meat the nonya one is like shredded meat.. nice flavour but i don't really like the texture.
the other traditional ones, i'm not to fond of them.. the ones like the "Khee Chang" which is strangely yellow, those with bean paste and goodness knows what other strange things inside..

mom's not too mobile... dad can't be bothered to make these things and he doesn't know how to
my sis and I are pragmatic.. at most eat 1 or 2 each... and since you can only make them in large quantities, and we don't want to end up trying to palm them off to relatives and friends

dunno.. will find out at about 3:30 when i eat it
just had lunch... i figure the bak chang can be considered a treat.. am on a disciplined eating schedule to lose some weight.. occasional treats.. once a week

my appetite has shrank... but then, i've gotten used to eating pretty okay breakfasts and lunches... dinners are kept light...
