my Lasik surgery..

YEAH!!!! Went for Lasik surgery on wed & fri.. and so please to know that I got back my perfect eyesight when nurse tell me during checkup...
would like to share some info since i guess some ppl would be interested in doing it.. btw, both my eyes : myopia 300 each, astigmatism less than 100...
I did it at SNEC (Singapore National Eye Center).. There would be a medical checkup ($160) for ur eyes to confirm the degree and thickness of cornea... my cornea kind of thinner
..
I went for senior consultant that charge $1830 per eye that have 10 years experience min.. normal consultant charge $1350 (3~9 years)... can pay via 12 months credit card interest free installment for major credit cards...
The doc will remove ur cornea and do the laser treatment, later put the cornea back, no pain or heat during the surgery.. heheheh, got burning smell, like having BBQ.. within 2~3 minutes, the surgery is done..
I felt irritation and pain for both eyes last 1~2 hours after the anesthetic gone
.. only some ppl will suffered it, some of those ppl that went together did not feel any pain.. depending on individual..
Note that the eyesight will get corrected, but not to perfect.. very much depend on how high ur myopia.. got a quite cute gal having myopia 1000 each for both eyes... she get corrected to 9/6.. another one 500 each, on eye is 6/6 and the other is 9/6...
Well.. I guess I am the lucky one that get 6/4.5 for both eyes...
Post surgery checkup will charge abt $50 each and need to see the doc for 6 times... A bit waste of time, doc will check ur eye and said "veri good, veri good" that last 5 mins... KNS, charge $50 for that
....
The first 2 weeks will be the most important as you cannot rub ur eyes, no soap or tap water, no swimming, avoid contact sports and glaring.. 1 week no eye makeup for gal
....
Overall, I should spend abt $4200 to get back my perfect eyesight.. now its up to me to takecare and maintain my eyes...

Personally, i think no specs bring me a new dimension of life.. dun need to look fo specs if wan to go toilet at nitz.. can do watever, dun need to worry abt spec or contact.. haiz!!!!!! song song gao jurong... -
$4000+ quite exp....i hope the price will drop a few years later when i go for Lasik.

actually abt 300~325 each for my both eyes and astigmatism less than 100...
.. but i try to push a bit higher when going for the first checkup, they gave me a card show that my left is 400 and right is 325...

hmmmm.......bilberry will improve ur eyesight, my uncle got 'old flower eye', took bilberry supplements, improved so he can see the fineprints printed on most documents now.
i now 23, use pc, play computer games for over a decade, eyesight still 6/6. one tip is to reduce the brightness and contrast of the monitor screen (the graphics will seem less beautiful and colourful but it will benefit your eyes in the long run), it will reduce the strain on ur eyes. did dat for a decade, dats why my eye sight still good.

eh eh.. wrong info
the cornea is not removed. the surgeon just cuts a flap. he then lifts it and lets the LASIK machine shape the cornea with laser
i'm doing mine in december. doing it in bangkok. S$3800+ lodging and air ticket inclusive. Doc is equivalent of senior consultant in singapore. in fact, he's more than that, he's the first Asian to perform a LASIK surgery and has perform ove ten thousand patients.. -
