yeah, the service yesterday was indeed atrocious.
they jus dumped the food on our table and walked right off. no greeting, no 'here's your food', nothing.
hot food was cold, some hot food were not even nice.
last order was at 915pm, when the outlet closes at 10pm...shouldnt it be 930 or 945?
the asst manager walked right out of the restaurant holding a pack of ciggies in his hand. one of his servers was much friendlier than him. and that 'more friendly' server was the ONLY one with a slight smile on his face.
yeah it's the end of the night, everyone's shacked...but being an AM, i guess he should set an example isnt it...he should be experienced enuff to do so.
Yeah I totally agree that good service brings back the customer. But sad to say most places now can't be bothered. By the way where is this Chesscake cafe u r talking about?Originally posted by kopiosatu:hmmmm cafe cartel is kinda self-service to me...
but at cheesecake cafe, there's always a smile on the employee's faces...
they greet you cheerfully... when i ordered a cake, instead of letting me wait, they introduced other cakes, got me a glass of water (which is something MOST places don't even bother to do), when you leave its that smile and cheerful 'bye, see you again' which makes you want to go again.
Good service brings you back customers.
Hahaha yeah good idea. In fact I know there are some company that does that. Most of them r survey companies or marketing related. Not sure if that helps but hmmm......can consider lor.Originally posted by BeNo:frog.. u start a service rating company for F&B..

Hahah no offense man but it was just a general comments. Its the same when I say that girls are generals weaker in most aspects. That doesn't mean that I look down on them and yes indeed there are some out there that are strong too be it emotionally or physically.Originally posted by nOrmalbOi:siao ehh....
some waiters and waiteresses who seem like everyone else owe them a million bucks.. and u r making a broad statement
no doubt most of it is true.. but oso no need to sweep ALL ppl who do customer service under the blanket "NO SERVICE"
i myself have done customer service in some form or another for the past 10 years or so. only once was my manager summoned.. and that was from a customer whom all my colleagues said was a difficult one. Got some commendations along the way too.
TOO BAD U DIDNT GET ME TO PROVIDE U WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
but seriously.. i take pride in what i do.. i may not be the best.. but i try my darnest..
didnt feel good that i got labelled under no service
*i work in a call centre so i took offence

didnt need to use a broad sword to take a broad swipe at us dumb broads doing customer service properly no?
good idea....interested?Originally posted by the Bear:wanna start a something that may improve service standards in singapore and we may earn a quick buck?
the pile of us start a "Service Consultancy" thingy..
go around, trying out restaurants and places, and then writing about them, and offering our services in how to improve the service!
can charge them money some more!
after a while, we create enough hype, people will come to us to do consultancy work for their companies.. and we're set!
how? what do you guys think? a business opportunity!
