i guess it really depends on how u define MCP. some pple think certain actions are normal, while others would think it's overbearing.
anyway, in general i feel men have an innate MCP mentality. it's to do with protecting his breed. i guess it could be called animal instinct. to protect, these are the decisions i have make and it has to be done this way. of course, we're not wild animals, but as i said it's innate.
also, many women want their man to be "MCP" meaning to be forceful, strong-willed, determined (i guess more towards the positive side of the MCP problem). many women want their man to be decisive and tell them options, and when there's a toss up between decisions, the man is to make it and follow thru while the woman supports. to be honest, even the bible supports such behavior. check out the marriage vows, i hear them all the time too...
anywayz... i have a wonderful story to back up my theory that deep down, all women, deep down, want a man whom they can lean on to be firm and commanding (MCPish if u will).
so are men MCP? in a good way, i sure hope ur man is! -

Well, as for my man, i'm glad he's not MCP at all, i consider him a SNAG, a macho SNAG -
eheheh crying doesn't make a guy sensitive.
sensitivity to feelings of the woman is wat makes a guy desirable. without a word, if u can tell wat she's thinking and feeling, and wat she needs, a hug, reassuring words, telling her wat SHE is thinking but won't say it out.... then u're the man.
i mean cmon, how many times have we seen examples of girls saying wat they do NOT mean. u know the age old theory: no means no, yes means no too or vice versa.. ahah confusing.

Whether is a gal or guy, sure cry de.
Just that traditionally, we were thought that guys are suppose to be superior in emotions control and things like that. So guys are not suppose to cry, gals can. Those who cry easily doesnt mean they are crybaby, they just happened to be dropping tears more often than usual.
As for guys being MCP, well, it depend on how we look at it.
If one say, the guy dun allow the woman to work, wanted her to stay home and keep the house, etc etc...he is viewed as MCP in a negative way.
But, if a woman appreciates that, she might think, oh, my hubby is soo nice to bring back the dough and let me be a tai tai, then he is not a MCP isnt it?

to the question, not about pigs and snags and whatever... men are almost genetically hardwired not to show tears unless in the presence of those whom they have no defences and walls..
men are "traditionally" problem-solvers and the hunter-gatherer of the family.. emotions take a backseat in order to hunt the woolly mammoth for the family pot... and are therefore more logical than emotional..
ladies, probably coz of their "traditional role" as nurturer and care-giver of the family, are hardcoded to use their emotions... and therefore more emotional..
how's that?
