yeap many have commented about the white on light background. on my screen i dun find it hard to read, but i haven't printed a proof to check it out. taking a little effort to read is ok, but if cannot read at all then of course that's a worry!!Originally posted by KittynMeow:Joho...

especially since your background picts have yellowish tints.... its rather hard to manage white on yellowish backgrounds.... also might want to consider bolder words... given a typical size of the namecard, the words will be rather thin and hard to see...
Otherwise, it looks pretty nice...
or better yet, why not get tare to give you her designer point of view... keke
i've tried reversing the black letters to white and vice versa.. but i dun like it, for some reason..

the photo is nice, but hor.. hehee.. look like a stock image lor! hehee... take tat as a compliement.. maybe use a pic tat's more unique? I dunnoe lah.. I dunnoe wat's in ur portfolio...
u prefer the layout of 1a but prefer the font of 1b issit? hmm i have to think about that one... one think i really wanna do is keep the black and white words to seperate the "sections" instead of dots. -

can't tell onscreen... think you better print out a proof for better checking.... cos i did company factsheets using white words on yellowish or greenish backgrounds too... onscreen looks ok but when printed out with matt lamination, the effect is very washed-out kind of look...Originally posted by jOhO:ok ver1c is out.. laser printer, max resolution...
can't see the numbers in either one you sent me..
but the people praised the pic and the concept of such a card... then they said cannot see the number.. better if it's a different colour or something that can be actually seen.. -
i'm gonna comment on v1d, which is by far the best (to me)
need a space between the numbers to improve readability - 9xxx xxxx perhaps, increase the font size of the number? becoz the bottom right of the background pic is dark, you may have problems with the e-mail address if it remains black in color the font is good, easy to read -

ok i guess i really gotta do something about the white on yellow. but the black parts are ok rite?
actually i dunno wat to do with the white. if i change it to a different colour, it won't be white anymore! ahha i'll just have to keep working the back ground. some serious DI work needed.
ok i'll keep working on it. i dunno why, but i'm bent on keeping the black and white words, i just love it.. it's an artist thing maybe (but i'm not really much of one anyway), when u love it, u dun need a reason.

i'm sure by now the white is more obvious.. but the black is starting to sink in a little...
i'm gonna have to send it for proofing b4 deciding.. but pretty much the design is gonna be like that.
eutjin, splitting the phone number apart makes the bottom section look like it's in three parts, which is not the case (even tho u can use colours to differentiate the parts) but the eye will notice a gap more freely than the colour... so i've decided to keep it closed up. -

might want to increase line with phone number and email by 1 point size?? will help the white words or black words problem?? -
okay.. printed again on ridiculously high res setting on the colour laser..
the phone number on the last one is clear, but the whole card looks duller... probably coz you stepped down the thing to give a better contrast to the numbers...
however, if the card gets dirty, as they will in a wallet or purse, the number will disappear...
feedback consist mainly of: nice! wah! good leh! and stuff like that -

okok i'm gonna send it for proofing next week... then see how.
