A Photographer's Namecard - comments pls!

I think this is a rather creative namecard compared to those old boring ones with only text on it..

needless to say, some points are very valid.. but some i disagree. and the part about the jewellery fella (from ur bro) i dunno to laff or cry!! hahahahah
ok for the colour theme, i guess it really depends on the image i choose as the background. and i actually chose this one becos i like the yellow and black contrast in the image. in that sense, if i choose this image, the colour theme has to stay.
ok the "typewriter" font is going, i'm replacing it with a more classy sans font.
i've never been a real fan of namecards that state the services on or behind the card. if i were to do this, it will be on the other side. still i'm quite adverse to that idea. i dunno why, maybe i prefer it if pple are intuitive enuff to know that i do shoot weddings (since it's wedding bands on the image, and they would probably receive it at a wedding) and also if they are in doubt, to contact me with wat else i can do. the namecard is purely for contact, any other "business talk" will be done from my eloquent mouth
, not from the peice of paper. like you, this is my POV. i'll have a think whether i'll put that list on the other side of the card. hmm....
yes i will be settling on a permanent email and host, but not so soon, that's why i won't be printing alot of these, becos there'll be changes. but i do need one kinda ASAP. so for now the email is that, the website i won't put on yet.

how clear will your number be on the printed card? it's white on a very light background

u are gonna be real pissed off but i agree with narz's brother that its possible that one may mistake the card for a jeweller's card. but if the rings are form the theme of your card so let it be. hope i am not sowing the seeds of doubt in your mind.
altho narz suggested putting jpb description on your card, i wouldn't advise that cos it may come across as tacky (sorry xmz!!!
). i prefer if you could insert something under "expressively jOhO" such as "event photgraphy" or something. In that respect, people will automatically associate "expressively jOhO" with photography. Not everyone knows what "expressively jOhO" is all about if they do not surf sgforums! 
as narz mentioned, having a customised website would add professionalism to your image. could you also change the colour of your font in the bottom right corner to white? i cannot really discern your hp number even with such a big picture.
btw, whats the flip side of your card gonna be? some ppl may need to write down your fee quote for easy reference and it would be preferable if you material is not one of those glossy sorts that would cause ink to smudge. it will of cos be easier if the flipside is white for easy writing.
i have seen chris ling's stuff and frankly (and no offence to any reader here), i am not sure whether he is worth the premium. I have faith that you can reach his standard (and price ). btw, do send me an updated link on my photos should you change sites!

if you can, print in on a colour printer for more realistic effect. the font look clear on a big screen. hm.... problem is you have light and dark backgrounda so it may be hard to read the font if you use only one font colour. -
1b is better....at least we know the name card belongs to a photographer

its nice but u r rite abt something still not quite right... but i cant think of anything at the moment... hmmm is it alittle too dark? can u make the overall hue lighter?

Joho...
cannot see the words "joho" and your phone number... the latter is v important if you want people to call you for business...
especially since your background picts have yellowish tints.... its rather hard to manage white on yellowish backgrounds.... also might want to consider bolder words... given a typical size of the namecard, the words will be rather thin and hard to see...
Otherwise, it looks pretty nice...
or better yet, why not get tare to give you her designer point of view... keke -
I won't say mine is professional views lah.... got alot other designers ard.... but personally I prefer 1b. but like wat was mentioned, can't really see ur phone no. lor... and hor, I prefer the way the info is typed in 1a. ie. jonathonho.photographer.9xxxxxxxxx
got other fonts? something clean also but tis one is helvetica rite?
the photo is nice, but hor.. hehee.. look like a stock image lor! hehee... take tat as a compliement.. maybe use a pic tat's more unique? I dunnoe lah.. I dunnoe wat's in ur portfolio... -

if i delve into other forms of photography, there will be a name card to suit. but i dun think i'll do much else, it's weddings and in time, portraits for me all the way. -

i think maybe it's becos of the contrast. the dark is dark and the light is light. and, too bright loses contrast. -
