  its the hassle tt comes up when the predictive text input predicts the wrong word tt makes me not want to use it. somemore, without the dictionary i can remember the keystrokes and the number of presses for any word - meaning i can type without looking. not sure if this can be done with the dictionary.

  i guess it's a matter of getting used to it. i decided to take the plunge years ago to "migrate" from normal input to t9.. and i'm using nokia, where the dictionary will learn words that are not in the dictionary, like "toa payoh" where i live.
  
  otherwise, if i need to type a word that i know is not in the dict, i'll press # a couple of times to turn of the dict mometarily.
