Bitter sweet memories
Chpt 1
From the withered petals of the rose he gave me, pieces of sweet memories flashed back into my twirling mind.
It was Friday, February thirteen
“Hi” he said
My heart skipped a beat, my cheek red hot when my doe eyes registered the image that the mind is always yearning for. ItÂ’s him. The guy I saw at the canteen four days ago. Oh no, is my hair in order? Is my blouse and skirt in presentable stateÂ…?
“Eh… I am Ju On. Do I have the honour of knowing your fair name?’
“Elizabeth.” I replied nervously and in a hardly audible tone.
“Pardon me, but Elizabeth and this gentleman here, are you two here to clean the staff room as a punishment for not handing up Mr. Lim’s homework?” he asked.
“Yes.” Steve replied promptly.
“Good then follow me.” He said. “Mr. Lim got something on and he instructed me to oversee the task.”
Oh dear, why must our first meeting be in such embarrassing circumstance? CanÂ’t we meet in a more fairytale like way?
My thoughts were gently broken by his voice.
“Elizabeth,” he said while waving his hands in front of my face “I dispatched Steve to clean the left side of the staff room. I want you to clean the other side. Don’t worry I will lend you a hand.”
“You will help me?”
“How can I refuse the company of such delicate beauty?” he said shyly.
I blushed for the second time since our meeting.
He went to the toilet and filled up a pail with water. With that and two rags, we began to wipe the windows
We chatted while doing the mundane cleaning of the dusty windows. He told me of his hobbies, family life while I listened attentively. We both hate math but love AndersonÂ’s ice cream. We love furry animals and trips to the beach for strolls.
Soon the staff room was cleaned in the midst of happy chatting and giggles. We picked up our bags and headed for the school gates.
“Bye Steve,” we said and while we were walking to the bus stop, he asked, “Elizabeth, are you free tomorrow evening?”
Tomorrow is V-day and he is asking me out for a date?

next time at least do it in wordpad or notepad. that's what i do, becos i hate the red squiggly lines that correct me on my already good enuff spelling ahhaha.. if i can't spell.. i just type it in the dictionary and it'll gimme the choice of words that are closest to it then can recognise it liow..
i'll post comments on flow and etc in a moment.. just got activated to do something.. -
the flow is ok.. just that it's a little fast moving.. all of a sudden the staff room is done.. ahha and er.. how the guy charms the girl is kinda cheesy
but it's heart-warming so far!
and.. i'm wondering if u're the type that appreciates those kinds of words from a guy.. *rubs chin*
