HUH?! d70 competing aganist d100?????Originally posted by jOhO:hehe u should be comparing the d70 to the d100, not the 300D. u'd be surpriused how many pple prefer the d70 to the d100. needless to say, if the d70 is "competing" with the d100, then the canon equivalent canon is the 10d, NOT the 300d.
my take:
if u NEVER need a vertical grip (that's me) and can afford to get either an sb800 or sb600, then go for the d70. otherwise just get a damn d2h and forever rest ur peace.
oh and dun forget.. the kit lens 18-70dx. it's a bloody AFS lens...
so many non d70 nikon mount users are hankering over that lens.. CHEAP AND GOOD!!!
i'm one of them, except i'm saving up for the 17-55/2.8 afs which is gonna be around 2k. after that would be an 80/1.4 (1.3k) then 70-200/2.8 afs vr (3.4k)
then i'm DONE. just upgrade to s3 when it comes out.
all part of the plan baby.. part of the PLAN!!!!
over at clubsnap within 3 days of launch....7 topics liaoz.Originally posted by jOhO:yeah.. d70 vs the d100.. it's the hot topic of the month.. HOT!!
who's even talking about the 10d and 300d anymore *yawn*
and where aty??? hahahahahahhahaha
go search head to head reviews and comparisons online, there's plenty!
above all else, we should always try to remember, the photographer takes the photos, not the camera.
and i've said this b4, my best photos have been taken with my cp5700.. NOT the s2. but of course i've only had the s2 for over a month.
have a good read bro~Originally posted by bismarck:over at clubsnap within 3 days of launch....7 topics liaoz.

dttl is nikon's ttl system for it's digital cameras. ttl stands for "thru the lens" where the exposure for the flash is measured. original ttl readings on film bodies took light readings off the film itself, and cuts flash power when optimum power is reached. for digital, there's no negative to read light off, so i guess they have some sensor inside to read the light.
for ittl, the body will send a pre flash just milliseconds b4 the main flash to get a feel of the overall exposure for flash needed, so the main flash can be fired at a power that's suitable. this is supposed to be more accurate. however using slow or rear sync modes (the flash fires just b4 the shutter closes, not when the shutter opens) u can sometimes see two flashes, esp for very long exposures. if u use wireless off camera flashes, this could be disastrous, becos the pre flash will trigger the slave flashes....
well my cam is 3 months old when i bought it.Originally posted by bismarck:for i ttl i get what u mean.
dttl trying to get it..
anyway why would anyone want to sell a cam 6mths old?
probably take me a year to get $2288Originally posted by jOhO:well my cam is 3 months old when i bought it.
a whole host of reasons, pple don't like it, for mine, the seller said when she bought it she wasn't working. then she got a job that took up alot of her time and she found another hobby so decided to let go, cos she's also using an F80. so if she needs to shoot she still has her film body.
all kinds of pple, all kinds of reasons. sure can find one. in 6 months.. CONFIRM got pple sell d70. actually u dun even need 6 months.
second hand 300d's are already in abundance as well. and pple ARE buying them up readily.
