  my dog also like to sleep alot.. but she's a light sleeper. the moment she's disturbed, even slightly, she gets all alert for a while before she dozes off again.
  
  the last time i saw her sleep really soundly, i thought i heard her snore. I think she'd been dreaming cos she kept kicking here and there
