but then, i don't know much if anything
ok i try to explain, shutterbug can correct me.
sigma is a brand of lenses/cameras..
15mm fisheye is one of those 180 degree view lenses that the image comes out round. there are 15 mm RECTILINEAR that comes out normal.. as in rectangle, but of course u get heaps of barrel/perspective distortion, ie, buildings look like they're falling over and rounded.
17-35 and 15-30 are just the focal lengths for the lenses, which are pretty wide. technically, anything under 35 is considered "wide". btw shutter, heard the sigma 17-35 f2.8-4 (i assume it's this one u using) is pretty soft? (bear: soft just means "not sharp")
28-200 also the zoom range of the lens. it's approx the same as urs.. ur sony has an equivalent of i think 35-240mm thereabouts.
ok film, basically film comes in negatives (i'm sure u know wat they are) or "positives" which are called "slide film" that means after being processed, they are in the right colours, while normal negatives have inverted colours....
as for the diff between negs and slides.. that one i'm not too sure liow.. but i do know fuji velvia produces really nice and saturated colours.
