u see, 602's min aperture is f11 s7000's aperture is f8.
i mean this will affect the depth of field. i feel like choosing 602 because the aperture is smaller than s7000,though not much.
another thing is that s7000 uses the SuperCCD IV and 602 uses a CCDIII
i once asked a friend and he said maybe 602 is better because there is this handgrip??

f8 or f11, its not going to make much of a difference for digicam..cos with f8, you will already be getting a very deep DOF for landscape shots and such..that extra stop to f11 is not really needed i think..
you were saying something about image stabilizer for one of these cams? hehe..its good to have image stabilizer cos its going to increase your hit rate at 10x, 12x zoom by a considerable amount..
as for the grip..go have a hands on at one of the shop to see how much you like it..have a feel of both cams first before deciding..think that will be good..hehehehehe..
