well if u're asking me i wouldn't really consider the fujis... i guess i just dun have a soft spot for them...
as for the toss up between the fz10 and the 5700.. when i read the initial reviews and saw the specs i actually THOUGHT of replacing the 5700 with it! ahhaha but it's just a thought lar..
anyway the specs of the fz10 really do line up.. now we just have to wait for the sample pictures to come out to really see... and of course if i have a chance to use it extensively then i can really make a better judgement.
i'm thinking the image quality of this cam (the panasonic) wouldn't be that bad.. leica lens (yes u're a leica freak, i'm not but yes they do make good lenses) but the main thing is that it has 3 aspherical lens elements in there, which equates to less CA. as for the sensor.. i dunno man i have NO IDEA about panasonic sensors, of if it's made by them.
when u look at the lenses, think sharpness, CA, pin/barrel distortions, contrast
when u look at sensors, think noise, colour reproduction, speed. -
in the few cams i have considered.
only nikon 5700 and 602 are proven cams.
anyway,i am not trying to argue aganist yr soft spot thing on fuji. i mean it's up to individual whether they like certain cams or not.
like i dont like canon cams though it's very popular.

but yeah seriously on paper the fz10 really does look good, esp for the price.. my goodness...
if i upgrade to dSLR i might even sell my 5700 and get this second hand.. just to bring around as a "point and shoot"... -
