Hmmm, looked like you bought yourself a expensive looking Manfrotto Tripod?
Really not a bad effort. Subjects like close up shots of Flowers can be improved by leaving out the unwanted details. Give a depth of field to your subjects so the main element stands out. Use a larger aperture 5.6 or less(can't remember how much...ask jOhO for advice ya).
Also, examine some photo magazines and see how u can improve on taking different subjects.

anyway that sillhouette pic was candid shot, suggested by my friend.
zooming on the flowers u mean? hmm...can try...anyway i was using macro mode. so...f/2.8 i tried to go close....next time go closer....5cm max. -

the sunrise part for many of the shots ( which i didnt put up) i think i made a critical error. i zoomed in on the sun. then for the pics u saw. i thought of take a wider pic so i un-zoomed.
for sunset, the time prior to the actual setting is nice. loads of clouds bathed in a orange-red glow.
but sunrise u can see the sun rising and u can look at the sun directly because there are clouds to sort of lower down the light intensity.
wanted to show some of the pics to illustrate ( the colour part ) what i mean..but aiyah...lousily taken...
hmm..come to think of it..the ones i posted online also very sucky leh... -

their fairly well taken, mainly the only real prob which i'm sure u should/could have noticed is the tilted horizons. it doesn't seem like u intended to slant them, but it's not straight. can fix in photoshop.

i placed my tripod on the beach mah. then my lau ya pok tripok dun have the this glass tube with green liquid and air bubble inside( dunno what u call it ) so when i use central metering ( u know the 4 four corners?) i zoom all the way to the horizon to see whether is it level or not lah. i thought level then ends up...no level. then my friend kept laughing at me....buay tahanOriginally posted by jOhO:hey!! finally get to see some of ur photos liow..

It was a gd effort. Keep on shooting and exchange ideas and tips on how U can improve ya shots.
Like I said, looking at other professional photo sites can bring alot of inspirations/ideas on how u can improve ya shots. -
