a spin-off from joho's thread. what kinds of photos u like to take ?
still-life? portrait ? fireworks ? macro ? nature ?
i took pictures of fireworks,macro and portraits. just realised how much i screw up in portraits and the staggering amt of equipment used.
give up portrait liaoz.now i find macro damn interesting. making something small look in high detail. must experiment with more scenes
too bad today got into fight with my dad, cant go out take sunset photos.... -

no no.. i dun usually take macros. i jus like to take things up close and at interesting angles. but haven taken fotos for quite some time cos ns and work... sigh.. had always wanted to take fotos of some places but never gotten to do it.Originally posted by bismarck:must share share tips on macros ah.

i haven't actually "decided" which way i want to go, but have had fun with macros, landscape, abstract, street, nature and still life.
still have yet to seriously try portrait, wildlife, sports, glamour, fashion, product. (the last three are more commercial type photography?)
i think i'm gonna go with portrait. people are by far the most intriguing, hardest to predict, and hardest to capture. the harder, the more challenging! my second choice would be abstract. and abstract is quite all-encompassing, anything goes! but i'd like to differentiate that from lomo...

honestly 1 of the reasons i like photography is the skill it needs and the challenge it gives me, i find portrait is too diff for me.
too much equipment, etc and i cant communicate with the model. -
i like to take skylines sunrsie and sunsets..more of nature kind of shots with lots of greens and blue (grassland and blue skies) but quite hard to find in singapore

Agree with joho, humans are the hardest to capture.
Their emotions, expression, the angle at which they are "lock" into the focus of the camera is very hard to decide.
Just didnt managed to get a nice wan till now.
Motions subjects also.
But I do like macro and abstarct shots.
Like, part of something that cannot be define.
No time to try out black n white lah
