as for the long walk, i did see that photo taken by u while u were walking back...the long way....
i must go find pasar malam stall to get my photoshop.
next time hong must bring parang liaoz. control that tucker guy....always ruin the photos....

i have this UV filter for my camera.tmr i maybe taking some shots of my experiments which have to be viewed under UV light. my that filter can use or not ? otherwise the photos look damn funny.... -

are u sure ur shots are out of focus? i'm talking about the fireworks. becos the aperture setting of the camera determines how "fuzzy" the fireworks look.
also, at ur huge 12x zoom, the camera may have problems focusing (for non-fireworks shots) and also camera shake becomes very evident at that focal length (~420mm rite?)
a UV filter absorbs uv light that can cause a haze to your photos. but i can't imagine it absorbing all the uv light when u are doing ur uv experiement! eheh it'll be interesting to see the difference tho.. if u are bothered, post it up and see if there's a diff? -

hmm how about if u check out some overseas forums like www.dpreview.com and see if anyone uses ur camera is having the same problem? there should be a panasonic forum there.. go check it out! -
