that's the usual trick lah. I used to work as asst credit controller in my co, and gosh, the tricks that debtors resort to can sometimes be very creative. But the usual ones are "boss out of town, can't sign cheque" or they simply give you a chq which is pre-destined to bounce. my colleague has been using the "boss out of town" reason for us not paying our suppliers also (my client owe me so much money, how i pay suppliers?) but then that was for real, i WAS overseas!!
and will be again in a week! -

Here's an ironical one. Our company have been engaging a debt collection company to collect our debts. All have been going well for the past few yrs cuz the co is really good wif its collection. But then, juz a couple of months ago, the sole proprietor absconded wif the money he collected on our behalf. What irony! -
