Forbidden Love - The End

We were involved in a non-committal relationship again shortly after. Sexually and mentally, Desmond is my man. Satisfying both my sexual needs and mental needs, he was always there whenever I needed him. It was wonderful just to be involved with someone like him, until I got hooked onto my job. Sometimes he complained that he wanted me so much yet I paid no attention to him. I guess the complaints got more when I was too involved with my work. He felt neglected when I was in the prime of my career.
There was one time when the argument got so heated that he said, “You won’t even notice if I brought a woman home.” This caught me by surprised. Desmond never had two women at the same time. In other words, he is very faithful. Later he apologized for his harsh words and straightened out my doubts.
We carried on our “relationship” for another 6 months and I moved out. This time round, the fault lies partly with me. Desmond got to move to New York for his work. Since I have to be based in Singapore, there’s no way we can be together.
“I’m tired about our relationship, Natty,” Desmond argued when I urged him to stay. “I though you were fine with the whole non-committal idea?” I asked him. “I was, until now. I’m getting old. I want to get married. You don’t.” Desmond said. That was it. I asked no questions, though I was disappointed. Maybe we were never meant to be. I thought we could be like that forever. I could but he can’t. I love my freedom but he want to be tied down. I guess people changed at different stages of their life. For me, I still want to lead the carefree life that I always wanted.
We do keep in contact up to today. DesmondÂ’s still my best friend and confidante. It was difficult at first but it worked out for us. HeÂ’s happily married now in New York, while IÂ’m still single. His wife, a beautiful American born Chinese, was his colleague. As time goes by, they fell in love. Within one year after we parted, they got married. I was disappointed yet happy for him. He found what he wanted all along and IÂ’m happy for him. Though we are not romantically involved anymore, we still got along real fine. A bond was built within us and his wife didnÂ’t even mind our past.
I guess it is always the forbidden love that gave me the thrill. Love does not always have an ending, cherishing the time together and having great memories, is more then enough for meÂ… -
Sounds like there could be some personal experiences in the story, and this tells alot of the author's personality. Well done.

if it's not about the past, then it's about the future. as for now, my life is so boring~!! nothing to write about.
of course we can stretch our imagination to the fullest and write something totally fictional, but i still feel the zest and mood will still stem from deep inside the author, and his/her life. -
True.. is like while u are writing, the feelings u are having at the moment will juz so called seeped into the plot or storyline.. kinda amazing. However.. I have much to improve on.. But i like tat idea when readers can actually read my feelings..

Hmm. pretty true tat is rare.. However, there are certain cases similar to this that I know of in real life... Guess the society is really changing alot.......

i guess i'm not all that worried, but this comes to mind once in a while when i attend my friends' weddings, go to other friends' "red eggs" baby's one month celebration.. u get the idea..
also, i'm pretty done with, how should we put this tactfully, "playing"? ahahah.. i mean if possible, (and if i'm meant to be married at all!!) i want to meet her and that's it lor. no more heartbreaks...
age is all in the head. yeah u're 21 on paper, but think like a 30 yr old, so? i dun see a big problem with that.

"Playing", hmm, define tat term. keke.. Trials and errors in meeting the right one would be my defination. I guess when we reach a certain age, we would want to stop the "playing" and gets ready for committment.
