I looked at Isabelle in utter disbelief and she looked at me with the same look i had.
"Huh? My father is her father? Her father is my father?", i mumbled to myself.
Isabelle was feeling edgy now. Beads of sweat suddenly trickled down her porcelain face.
"Hey Isabelle", i called out to her.
"WHAT?", she shouted back almost immediately.
Her shout triggered my dad to approach our table after finding difficulties finding us. With a smirk on his face, he cooly came to our table.
"I see you two have met. Sit down Isabelle, my dear daughter. Where are you going?", Dad casually said.
I was deeply dumbfounded. Isabelle was now furious and she was standing with her arms akimbo. However, she was finally cajoled successfully by Dad to return to her seat.
"Dad, this is the girl i told you about. The prettiest girl in my class whom i have....err.....fallen in love with", i announced meekly.
"What the..."
"What???"
"Andy?!?!"
A convergence of incredulous replies succumbed and i was on the verge of breaking down. Blanket of stars covered my eyes and i was in mini-nirvana momentarily.
"Andy and Az. Isabelle is your half sister. She came from Nice only recently and i hope you guys can acknowledge her as your sibling", my dad said with seriousness.
"Where the hell did she come from? Is she mom's daughter or one of your flings! I demand an explanation!" , i shouted overcame by anger.
Isabelle was crying now. Maybe she was not accustomed to my overbearing nature of being rebellious to people, their senority notwithstanding.
"Thats it. To hell with this dinner. I am going home. Use this for dinner. Az, let's go!", i said, standing up and threw a 100-dollar bill on the table.
"Andy...Please don't leave"
I stood still. It's that voice in my dreams. Somewhat ambigous but familiar. Its that voice that disappeared from my life eons ago. It couldn't be her. It just couldn't be her.
For the second time in the night, i was rooted to the ground but i manage to turn my head and i just couldn't believe my eyes.
It was her !!!!!!!
