i still think ultimately, i'll not buy a dSLR.. i'm not that good and frankly, with my back screwed up as badly as it is now, i'm better off not lugging a huge weight around..
that, and they cost an arm, a leg and some innards

i was thinking of buying it to bring it out on my cycling trips, but then again i think i point and shoot might suffice. altho, once u go onto dslr.. sometimes u just wish u had it was u instead of a pns.
i did contemplate a ricoh GRD once, fixed 28mm lens, with attachment it can go to 21mm which is great, but all up, it's probably gonna cost more than the d40! ahhaha.. and with my d40 i already have all my nikon lenses so no need to buy.
but.. heavy lor.... or at least heavier than the ricoh... -
