d70s
higher megapixels to give leeway for more mistakes
and it has 2 adjustable dials, unlike d50 which has only one, for faster manual on-the-fly manual control -
so bads, buwee D50 user here...

if u do not have enough money, d50.
u can spend some cash buying different lenses. -
Why not take a look at Canon too? I find the 350D a reasonable camera for a beginner too.

i've read that the reviews on canon 350D is not as good as nikon. dun get me wrong, i've not tried any of the cameras and its based on wat i've read. the nikon seems to produce better pics then the canon, and the auto focus is much faster too. correct me if i'm wrong... even my some frens suggest dat i get a nikon D50 or D70s. i'm torn between these too... arrrghhhOriginally posted by Pitot:Why not take a look at Canon too? a fren of mine has just narrowed down my choice to D70s but do u think its wise for a beginner like me to get instead of D50?
