What hinders business start ups?
Lack of business ideas? Government regulation? Lack of funds?
Or lack of courage?
Read in the straits times few days ago citing that financial problems is number one on entrepreneur's list. And even Deputy PM Lee HL said that the government wouldn't help entrepreneur when it comes to funding.
So, as suggested by the article, entrepreneurs would have to source for their own funds.
Given funds, what is needed is an idea. SOmething innovative that's able to spark a trend, something along the lines of the craze that were created by bubble tea, rollarblades, kick scooters and $1.99 shops we have seen before.
Management comes next, which accounts for why the above mentioned business didn't prosper. They didn't look far enough or wasn't able to protect their niche.
Despite the many reports saying that the government has removed many red tapes, I still feel that starting a business needs sheer courage and not forgetting, believing in yourself and the thing you're promoting.
