i dunno if this is the best forum to put this in, but it says for lovers of visual art, and photography is visual and can be an art! eheh
anyway i'll be posting up selected pics that i think are nice for everyone's viewing pleasure in this thread, and all those chapalang pics are in a private photo album somewhere that i have yet to figure out! so pm me if u wanna see other pics, but gimme a while to get my act together, i've only had the cam 4 days!
if the pics i post here take too long to d/l please let me know i'll compress them a bit more.

actually the g3 was a SERIOUS contender for me, but the 5mp and 8x o-zoom of the cp5700 threw me over. if u're not after SUPER high end, then the G3 is more than sufficient, a fast camera in terms of lens speed, storage times and start-up times.
and if u ask me, canon is more user friendly, as in the controls and functions. nikon is known to have a pretty steep learning curve.
BUT.. i still can't get over the 8x zoom and 5mp on a nikon!!!!!! and it's way way more chio looking than the G3!!

the exposure nice, but like dun have subject like that, my eyes dunno wanna look at which part of the foto, run here run there one.
but the merlion looks like a light stick

the reason why u say it may seem under-exposed is because the pic is monotonous, mainly yellow becos of the lights.
to be honest, singapore's skyline isn't that great. would LOVE to go to hong kong to take from victoria harbour.. -

i really wanna take pics at dusk.. about 745pm.. but i need a clear sky and *hopefully* not too much pollution in the air. then steam liow.
if too cloudy, the lights from the city will reflect off the clouds and give this really yucky greeny/yellow colour. -

BUT.. i still can't get over the 8x zoom and 5mp on a nikon!!!!!! and it's way way more chio looking than the G3!! The 8x optical zoom is really the buying point, I think. -
