So what's the average you clock?Originally posted by duotiga83:kazaa speed is irregular 1.....but i heard my friend say if u exceed certain limit in kazaa it will hang ur com...btw my Broadband also 256k
if nt in kazaa if ard the same 20+ - 40+ kbsOriginally posted by Parka:So what's the average you clock?
u r riteOriginally posted by sgboy2004:Most of the time, u would not reach 256Kbps...most of the time not even close to it.
256kbps is the max ... but due to conjestion in the internet traffic, it is quite impossible to reach such a high speed.
Kazza 1 is not accurate 1.
Well. it looks true to me because I was observing the size of my file downloading. It was jumping at 30kb/s.Originally posted by sgboy2004:Most of the time, u would not reach 256Kbps...most of the time not even close to it.

My com didn't hang. The power went off again by itself. Argh. Lost another 100 to 200 MB of data.Originally posted by duotiga83:kazaa speed is irregular 1.....but i heard my friend say if u exceed certain limit in kazaa it will hang ur com...btw my Broadband also 256k
u didn't set the power off by setting not off? i been tt b4...i set no off....Originally posted by Parka:My com didn't hang. The power went off again by itself. Argh. Lost another 100 to 200 MB of data.
Now the speed drop back to my normal 25kb/s already. Sad.
What do you mean?Originally posted by duotiga83:u didn't set the power off by setting not off? i been tt b4...i set no off....
i multiple dl...even worse...
u go properties screensaver there the settings u change it to no off hardisk .Originally posted by Parka:What do you mean?
Anyway, I try not to download multiples because of this problem. Very dangerous.
256/8 = 32kbyte/s (kB/s) thereotically maxOriginally posted by Parka:I'm on the 256 singnet. My normal downloading speed is 25kb/s. But just when I came back, I saw my Kazaa clocking 40kb/s.
Then I saw it can climb up to 60kb/s.
As I am typing this, the speed is at 50kb/s.
Can anyone tell me if this is the normal speed a 256 is suppose to have?

one way to test it out is to d/l in irc. but got to find a fast source. most r scv quite slow (cap u/l speed to ard 15kB/s)Originally posted by duotiga83:u r rite
u using wat ? 256 ? 512 ?Originally posted by Master -_-:i have reached 120kb/s before.. it depends on bandwith.. if more people have the file (more cable users) the rate will increase tamade high..
1 byte = 8-bitsOriginally posted by shock1234:256kbps = kilo bits per sec
what u c in program such as kazaa, IE, etc are in kB/s (kilo bytes per sec)
wah..u back to theory ah....Originally posted by sgboy2004:1 byte = 8-bits
it is kilo bits per sec = kbps
512Originally posted by shock1234:u using wat ? 256 ? 512 ?
mi know a bit bit lahOriginally posted by duotiga83:wah..u back to theory ah....

512 shld be around 32x2 kB/s = 64kB/sOriginally posted by Master -_-:512
heard kazaa got this prob for some user oso.Originally posted by Parka:Screen saver there is for screen saver properties.
Besides. Mine is not actually off harddisk. Mine is restarting the computer without my permission. The same effect as pushing the RESET button.
