40kb/s. Fast or slow?

I'm on the 256 singnet. My normal downloading speed is 25kb/s. But just when I came back, I saw my Kazaa clocking 40kb/s.
Then I saw it can climb up to 60kb/s.
As I am typing this, the speed is at 50kb/s.
Can anyone tell me if this is the normal speed a 256 is suppose to have? -
kazaa speed is irregular 1.....but i heard my friend say if u exceed certain limit in kazaa it will hang ur com...btw my Broadband also 256k

Most of the time, u would not reach 256Kbps...most of the time not even close to it.
256kbps is the max ... but due to conjestion in the internet traffic, it is quite impossible to reach such a high speed.
Kazza 1 is not accurate 1.

Kazza 1 is not accurate 1. Well. it looks true to me because I was observing the size of my file downloading. It was jumping at 30kb/s. -

Now the speed drop back to my normal 25kb/s already. Sad. -

Anyway, I try not to download multiples because of this problem. Very dangerous. -

i standard dl 4 at the smae time...last time i even more crazy...10 at once....

i have reached 120kb/s before.. it depends on bandwith.. if more people have the file (more cable users) the rate will increase tamade high..

think ur speed there are juz transient that onli last for a while. -

what u c in program such as kazaa, IE, etc are in kB/s (kilo bytes per sec) -

Besides. Mine is not actually off harddisk. Mine is restarting the computer without my permission. The same effect as pushing the RESET button. -
